Drew’s Crow

Long ago, a member of the straw crow family residing at The Superior in Victoria, British Columbia was given as a gift and sent off in a box to live with a close friend in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Lisa Boehme and Adrienne Thomas, bonded by family, a shared ethos and inner compulsion to create, are linked on their own separate journeys. Known by their children as Muma and Mumatoo, they’ve remained constant confidantes over the years – the vast country separating east from west has been no impediment to their longstanding friendship. Their beloved children, who’ve grown up together, are now adults compelled to create and share stories of their own. Drew, son of Adrienne and metal-man at Perl Grey, who thinking as only he can, one day quite spontaneously fabricated a pewter helmet for the bird that Lisa sent so long ago. Visually Stunning, meanings implied……….east/west crow has taken on a new, intriguing and mysterious persona, very much like its maker.

Perl Grey and The Superior, in good company under the watchful eye of a curious helmeted crow, inspiring best friends to continue their journey.
