The shoes are going to Peru, with a Stelly's Global Perspectives grade 12 class...!!  They will be going to a mountainous region, with a similar climate to ours, and quite a poor area.  Thank you to Michael Winkle of Celtic Tree Service for bringing the tress down, and finding them a much needed home!

A brief history.....The story of The Superior Shoe Tree began in April 2009, and came to completion in July 2009. The shoes were donated from W.I.N. (a charitable organization for women in need), and were all shoes that were not saleable. We kept a basket full of shoes for people to choose from, and then wishes were made, shoes were tossed, and donations were collected. Thus a community sculpture was created! With gratitude for your donations, we are thrilled to announce that our wish tree has collected over $800 for W.I.N.!!
