The Superior takes great pride in its "small plate sharing menu" utilizing the freshest local organic, and seasonal ingredients BC has to offer, while supporting small local food producers.

Since opening our doors in October 2005 The Superior vision has been to create and inspire art in all things for all ages to enjoy. Our culinary artist, Torin Egan, delights the palate with delicate flavors colors and textures, and our bar features an ever changing menu of BC wines and micro-brewery beers.

Located in historic James Bay Victoria, steps away from Fisherman's Wharf and a lovely 10 min. walk from the inner harbor, the large pie shaped brick building stands at the corner of Kingston and Superior Street. Built in 1912 as the Seaman's Institute ( a home for off duty traveling sea farers), and more recently the home to Victoria's Unitarian Church, The Superior is now a designated heritage building in continual restoration. The Superior sits as an oasis in its urban environment.

Created from a need to satisfy all ages with early evening live original music, sharing plates for all appetites, and a seasonally changing atmosphere, we welcome you to our café. We trust that within our sometimes quirky and always memorable café you will feel at home, and leave with fond memories and a sense of joy from your experience.
